Ron studied mechanical and nuclear engineering at Kings Point, New York — the home of the United States Merchant Marine Academy — with the goal of working as a nuclear engineer on ships. His desire to solve complex problems affecting people instead of engines led him into a business administration program at New York University, where he completed his MBA in 1969.
Following two decades in the financial services industry, he ventured out on his own to help clients tackle the challenge of removing uncertainty from their financial futures.
Ron’s creative solutions are contrary to what most popular financial experts preach. As founder of SMART Group Houston, he developed the SMART Process® to help clients navigate the turbulent waters of managing their money. Ron makes it look easy. He applies his unique complex-problem-solving methodology to all the variables in a client’s portfolio.
Author of Financial Truths for the 21st Century and Beyond Majority Thinking, Ron is a founder and partner of Resource Horizons Group, L.L.C., an Atlanta-based broker-dealer. In 2004, he earned his certification in Mergers & Acquisitions from the Alliance of M & A Advisors.
He spends his free time with his wife Gail.
